Welcome to VanDeliveryUK. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our delivery services and website. By using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

2. Definitions

In these Terms, the following definitions apply:

VanDeliveryUK provides van delivery services across the United Kingdom. Our services include:

• House moves
• Office relocations
• eBay deliveries
• Furniture delivery
• Same-day delivery
• Commercial deliveries

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time. We may discontinue or modify any aspect of our services at our sole discretion and without prior notice or liability.

4. Booking and Payment

4.1 Booking Process

You can book our services through our website, by phone, or by email. When making a booking, you must provide accurate and complete information about the pickup and delivery locations, the items to be delivered, and any special requirements.

4.2 Quotes and Pricing

Quotes provided through our website calculator are estimates based on the information you provide. The final price may vary based on actual distance, item size and weight, access conditions, and any additional services required. We will confirm the final price before proceeding with the booking.

4.3 Payment Terms

Payment is required in full at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept payment by credit/debit card, bank transfer, or cash (for certain services). For regular commercial clients, we may offer payment terms subject to credit checks and a separate agreement.

4.4 Additional Charges

Additional charges may apply in the following circumstances:

• Waiting time beyond the allocated time for loading or unloading
• Changes to the delivery address after booking
• Items that exceed the dimensions or weight specified at the time of booking
• Difficult access conditions not disclosed at the time of booking
• Additional floors or stairs not disclosed at the time of booking
• Special handling requirements not disclosed at the time of booking

5. Cancellation and Refunds

5.1 Cancellation by You

If you need to cancel a booking, the following refund policy applies:

• Cancellation more than 48 hours before the scheduled pickup: Full refund minus a £20 administration fee
• Cancellation between 24-48 hours before the scheduled pickup: 50% refund
• Cancellation less than 24 hours before the scheduled pickup: No refund

5.2 Cancellation by Us

We may cancel a booking in the following circumstances:

• Force majeure events (including but not limited to severe weather conditions, natural disasters, accidents, or road closures)
• Vehicle breakdown or other operational issues
• If we believe the items to be delivered are prohibited items
• If we believe the delivery would be unsafe or illegal

If we cancel a booking, we will offer you a full refund or reschedule the delivery at no additional cost.

6. Delivery and Collection

6.1 Delivery Times

We will make every effort to collect and deliver items at the agreed times. However, delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed. We are not liable for any delays due to traffic, weather conditions, or other circumstances beyond our control.

6.2 Access Requirements

You must ensure that there is suitable access for our vehicles at both the collection and delivery addresses. You must inform us of any access restrictions (e.g., narrow roads, low bridges, parking restrictions) at the time of booking.

6.3 Loading and Unloading

Our standard service includes loading and unloading of items. However, we may require assistance for particularly heavy or bulky items. You must ensure that someone is available at both the collection and delivery addresses to assist if required.

6.4 Packaging

You are responsible for ensuring that items are properly packaged for transport. We may refuse to transport items that are inadequately packaged or that we believe may be damaged during transport.

7. Liability and Insurance

7.1 Insurance Coverage

All deliveries are covered by our goods in transit insurance up to a maximum value of £10,000 per delivery. This insurance covers loss or damage to items during transport, subject to the terms and exclusions of our insurance policy.

7.2 Claims Process

In the event of loss or damage to items during transport, you must:

1. Note any visible damage on the delivery receipt at the time of delivery
2. Notify us in writing within 24 hours of delivery for any non-visible damage
3. Provide photographic evidence of the damage
4. Provide proof of value for the damaged items

7.3 Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the repair or replacement cost of damaged items, up to a maximum of £10,000 per delivery. We are not liable for:

• Damage due to inadequate packaging
• Pre-existing damage
• Consequential losses
• Delays in delivery
• Loss or damage to prohibited items

8. Prohibited Items

We do not transport the following items:

• Illegal substances or items
• Hazardous materials (including flammable, explosive, or corrosive substances)
• Perishable goods (unless specifically agreed)
• Live animals
• Firearms, weapons, or ammunition
• Cash, jewelry, or other high-value items (unless specifically agreed and with additional insurance)
• Personal or sensitive documents

If you are unsure whether an item is prohibited, please contact us before booking.

9. Privacy and Data Protection

We collect and process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to the collection and processing of your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be posted on our website. Your continued use of our services after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms.
